I have just been alerted that my site is down. On checking, my theme (Genesis Sample) is gone completely, as is every plugin and all my media.
Thankfully, my posts and pages are still there, albeit without images.
I haven't touched the back end and cannot work out how this can happen. More to the point, how best do you suggest I fix this?
My host will have a back up and I guess I can reinstall the the theme...but I don't know whether that will solve whatever the problem is.
I'd love to get some advice before I start tackling this. I'm not a developer so will need to find some help once I know what problem I'm trying to solve.
I would start by discussing with the host. Themes and lugins don't just disappear unless you've been hacked or there's been a catastrophic server event. Whatever the case, it's an issue you need to resolve with your host.
Sometime it happened due to using crack version of plugins. As one time we also faced such issue at the website replika mod unlocked where we are providing different apps and games for downloading. But when we analyze the website so there was a plugin which was cracked version due to which the whole issue created. So stay away from the crack version plugins.
Thank you for your advice, Victor and Lorenzo. I have loaded a back up version of the site which has now been stable for a week. I am watching carefully!
