    Hi,

I'm using the atmosphere pro theme and I would like to speed up my website.
I've used the WP Engine WordPress website speed test tool which has come back with some suggestions for improving my site speed. The load time is 2.2 seconds.

I see that there's a lot of CSS and Javascript requests being made to files/resources I feel are not needed i.e.

    https://code.ionicframework.com/ionicons/2.0.1/css/ionicons.min.css?ver=1.1.3
    https://code.ionicframework.com/ionicons/2.0.1/fonts/ionicons.ttf?v=2.0.1
    https://www.djphotography.uk/wp-content/themes/atmosphere-pro/js/backstretch-set.js?ver=1.0.0

Is there a way of removing/blocking some of these files so that they don't get requested by the server?
Also, can some of the javascript files that are used in the theme be combined into one javascript file?

I've tried a few cache plugins but they didn't really improve the speed (if anything they just made it slower).

    Thanks for your help.
    Dan

Hi! You can also try Google PageSpeed Insights to test your site performance with the good advices to improve it.
