    Hello,

    You can add this to your child-theme css and it will make only the top level nav items white on hover:

    .genesis-nav-menu> li > a:hover {
    color: #fff;
    }

    First of all, you should space out your code. Right now you have

    .genesis-nav-menu a {
    display: block;
    padding: 24px 20px;
    padding: 1.5rem 1.25rem;
    position: relative;
    }.genesis-nav-menu a:hover {
    background: #000;
    color: #fff; }

    Hit enter twice between the first closing bracket and the dot so that you have:

    .genesis-nav-menu a {
    display: block;
    padding: 24px 20px;
    padding: 1.5rem 1.25rem;
    position: relative;
    }

    .genesis-nav-menu a:hover {
    background: #000;
    color: #fff;
    }

    Now, change the last bit of code to read:

    .genesis-nav-menu a:hover,
    .genesis-nav-menu li a:hover,
    .genesis-nav-menu li:hover a {
    background: #000;
    color: #fff;
    }

    and you should have white links on a black background.

    You're welcome Thomas. As to me being quick, you might not realise this, but this isn't an official StudioPress support forum, and I (and about 99% of the people who are here helping out) am not a StudioPress employee. We're StudioPress clients (like yourself) and aficionados who like to help out whenever possible.
