    Hello,

Very rarely do I ever post a new question in forums, but I've Google searched a heck of a lot on this one, and I haven't found any material on it yet.

I'm trying to develop a way for my clients (who aren't tech savvy) to be able to select their own colors for their website without the need to dive into CSS.

I got the idea to do this when I found myself making several different sample color schemes in the "Color Styles" dropdown on the Genesis -> Theme Settings admin page.

Instead, I would like to code 5 color pickers (using PHP) into that Genesis -> Theme Settings page that will affect the color scheme of the website.

    • Would it help if I used a CSS preprocessor like SASS or LESS so that I can store the user's color preferences in variables that get compiled into CSS?
    • Is there a WordPress plugin that already exists to do this?

Please correct me if I should not be posting about Genesis Framework PHP in the "Design Tips and Tricks" forum.

Oh hey! I think I found what I'm looking for. There's apparently a WordPress Theme Customizer since 3.5 that can be used by theme developers to control colors.

And I found a video tutorial series on how to do it here:

My only remaining question now is, can I use still it with SASS or LESS or does it only work for straight CSS? I guess I'll find out one way or another.
