    I'm a standstill at the moment. I've added the snippet to enable the custom header on my site, but once that's done, the site title and tagline still display on the homepage but not on any other page (of course the check box under Appearance > Headers > 'Show text...' is not active). I took a look the layout and didn't notice any sort of difference. Any ideas?

    You can usually add a text-indent: -9999px; to the CSS rules for .site-title and .site-description to hide them.

    Thanks for the suggestion; I failed to mention that I'm using a MultiSite install where some sites will be using an image header and some will not, so I can't do a universal text-indent.

    Do you have something in place where individual site owners can add custom CSS? I would think that would be a must; otherwise they can't change anything other than what's in the Genesis theme settings. If the network has Jetpack enabled you can use its custom CSS option, or you could always add a plugin.

    Multisite aside, most child themes have CSS in place to remove the text if an image header is in place, but that may not be the case if you had to add the function for a custom header. Which child are you using?

    Thanks for the advice nutsandbolts. I've figured out the cause of the issue, now I'm just not sure how to fix it... It appears that .header-image class is not being added to the body section on the homepage...

    I would typically just use the following code, but the way I have my homepage set up doesn't allow for their use...

    <?php get_header(); ?>

    <?php genesis_home(); ?>

    I'm going to mess around with it for a bit and see what I figure out.

    I figured out what was going on. I had added a function on my home page that was telling it to replace the body styles with ones that I had created. I just kept missing (and had forgotten about) that when I was going over my code. Things are working great now. Thanks for the help.
