Header Image Not Showing – Tapestry theme

I'm having an issue on a client's site using the Tapestry theme http://awakenyourlifepower.com/ - the header image disappeared after upgrading WordPress.  The header image is still there, and selected under Appearance > Header.

I have already searched this forum, found a couple other threads on this issue; but the solution that seemed to work for others, isn't for me because  I am not seeing the area referenced in these threads (and below) at all under the Customize link - so the option to uncheck the text isn't showing for me:

"Expand “Site Title & Tagline”, and uncheck the “Display Header Text” box"

And for most child themes, under the Appearance > Header section, there is a place to uncheck to remove text over the header image, that option is not there either.

Any other suggestions to get this working?  Thanks!

Give this a shot, don't know if it'll work but it's quick: Click "appearance" then "themes" then "customize" then "site title& tagline" and uncheck "display header text."

If not, when you click "Genesis" you should see the option to choose text or an image for the header.

As I stated in my original post - the uncheck "display header text" is not showing on this site. Otherwise I would have tried that. 😉

There is no option in the Tapestry theme to select image or logo.

There is no option under Appearance > Header to remove the text over the header image.

Still haven't found a resolution for this issue.  Anyone else found out how to fix the mysterious disappearing header?

I had a similar issue on Metro theme. To get my custom header image to show I had to go into the Genesis settings and set the "Color Style" to Default.  But, I wanted the theme style to be Red. To get the red style to work I had to change the red color for the title to "none"  in the CSS under the Red style (see below).  This may be a fix for you.

Thanks!  I finally just bypassed the built-in header feature, and coded it into the CSS.  That worked and the client was happy.  🙂
