Hello list!

I got some problems concerning my header-image. My Image has following size (1102 x 115 px). I use this code to implement the image:

.header-image #title a {
background: url( "http://www.hochdownloaden.de/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/banner_euroflansch.png") no-repeat;
}

When you have a look at my website (http://www.hochdownloaden.de/) you´ll see, that the image doesn´t fit.When I change the width to 1250px; the flags slips away.

Is there a possibility to move the image a little more to the left?Any help is very welcome 🙂

Thanks in advance and have a nice weekend.

Best regards,Thorben

Hi,
Your layout is only 960 wide, so having an 1102 image will be a problem.

Also, your placement of the image on the title link is cut off because it's only 350px wide:

.header-image #title-area, .header-image #title, .header-image #title a {
display: block;
float: left;
height: 115px;
overflow: hidden;
padding: 0;
text-indent: -9999px;
width: 350px;
}

Finally, you have the flags area, so that will also fight with your title link width - a classic Genesis header space problem. My suggestion: make the image 960 wide, and attach it to only #header instead of .header-image #title a. And depending on your theme settings, you might have to put it on #wrap #header.... that's a place where it should fit. Example:

#wrap #header {
background: url( “http://www.hochdownloaden.de/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/banner_euroflansch.png”) no-repeat;
}

Good luck!
Dave

Hi David!

Thanks for your help. I made the image 960 wide, and now it works.

Best regards,
Thorben
