ParticipantWith "Gutenberg Optimized" themes, I noticed some of the themes do not list the following features:
Custom Background
Custom Menus
Featured Images
Threaded Comments
Footer WidgetsIs this due a "trade-off" of other features or maybe due to the "One-Click Theme Setup"?

KeymasterCan you be specific in a few of the themes that are missing those things?
* Custom Menus was renamed by WordPress in the widget area to Navigation
* Featured Images is under the little "G" when you click that. If you don't see it, then you have to scroll down and look for the "Options" tab and then check the box.
* Some themes do not thread comments while others do. I think that is by design by the theme developer.
* Some Genesis themes have been designed without Footer Widgets on the Home Page but they exist on internal pages and posts.
* Custom Background I believe would be based on the theme.

ParticipantThank you, Anita.
Yes, when I mentioned that some of the features were "missing", this is from the https://my.studiopress.com/themes/ page, when you click on each theme.
Under each theme there is a section of "The Open Source Genesis Framework includes the following functionality:" listed, along with some other benefits to the left of that list.
An example from my statement would be the Altitude and Essence Pro Themes.
I do not have access to the entire theme library.
I have the old Prose theme for my blog and need to updated it to a newer HTML5 Child Theme.
Thanks,

Keymaster@bslugnut Altitutde has one Footer Widget but it's not displayed. It's in the theme documentation though. And Essence Pro does not have the footer widgets, but a Footer CTA. I wrote a blog post on adding three footer widgets last August. I updated it earlier this month.

Participant@Anita, thank you for sharing the link that may be of great use, if I choose the Essence Pro theme! 🙂
My current site is outdated on both software version (WordPress 5.3.2 running Prose theme. Using Genesis 2.10.1. PHP 7.2) and visually.
In need to update it to make it more visually appealing and have the latest versions of software.
The primary function of my site is for posting press releases, reviews of outdoor products and adventures. I like a nice static header image and or custom background image that I have taken.
In your professional opinion/recommendation is there a better suited theme with these functionalities?
HTML5 Markup
Mobile Responsive
Custom Background (photo that I have taken)
Custom Header (static image)
Custom Menus (on all pages)
Footer Widgets
Widget Areas
Theme Customizer
Theme Options
Sidebar Layout Options
Ecommerce (Nice to have)
Landing Page
Featured ImagesThank you in advance 🙂

KeymasterYou can use any of the Genesis themes, along with the block editor to create a lot of what you listed. Each theme has it's own set of theme options, customizer settings, etc. I'd just suggest that you look at each theme, read over that is available with each theme to see which one will meet your needs.
