Tagged: media library
For some reason, the Grid View is not showing the media library, only when I click list view format does the media library show.
Did the usual, and switching themes, library shows and works fine, the current one though still the problem.
Could re-upload a fresh theme of it, but there are a lot of style changes and I'm too novice to know how to preserve the adjustments, but hoping a broad stroke of some files to change may allow for this to function since switching to some other theme shows the media library just fine. Rather than trying to find a needle in a haystack.
Looking for any tips or tricks or directions to dig?
There could be a lot of different things going on from a bug in any custom code that could be causing the issue. In general though, the out of the box theme should have no impact on the media library at all.
A bug in PHP would cause an error. Nevertheless, you can enable WordPress debug and look for PHP warnings.
A jQuery bug or plugin conflict could cause a page to stop working. Did you check the browser's console for errors?
If there aren't any errors, start troubleshooting plugin conflicts.
It could also be that you need to regenerate the thumbnails if you recently changed themes. There are plenty of plugins for regenerating thumbnails in the WordPress repository.
No Console Errors.
Out of the box, the theme works fine, this has been through many hands and now I'm handed the pile of mess to sift through.
Browser Console no errors either.
Disabled every plugin all, and individually, no plugin remedied it.
Regenerated thumbnails also.
Reisntalled Core WP files, still no good.
I did also notice I can't "Search" for a new plugin via the WP Dashboard, and I can't upload new media or add media from the said library on a page or post. It just sits there with the loading circle.
Do you have a recent backup?
