    Hi:

I'm doing a business site for a customer that has a counseling practice.  They are the sole coulselor in the practice and they want their picture to show up in google search results for every single PAGE that I have built.  I know this can easily be done if the site's content is built on posts, but since this is a business site (not a blog site) I didn't build the site's content using posts -- instead I built it using pages.  In fact, there 61 pages that have been built and I don't want to have to redo all of the content and make them posts just to get the authorship to show up in rich snippets, especially since all 61 pages are already indexed by Google.

Does anyone know how I can add the necessary authorship meta tags to all PAGES so that the pages show the business owners photo in Google search results?  I'm thinking I can use the 'About Us' page as the 'Author Page', but can I add something to the theme's functions.php file to get the necessary meta tags to show up on pages?

I'm using the latest version of Genesis and the Enterprise child theme.  The site is: http://ashley-donaldson-counseling.lifespanintervention.com/.

Brian Gardner has instructions on how to do this and it works - http://www.briangardner.com/google-profile-search-results/.

@anitac - I did come across Brian's post but wasn't sure if this would work for pages.  I was reading through the comments and saw where one person was getting the following warnings on the rich snippet tool:

Warning: At least one field must be set for HatomEntry.
    Warning: Missing required field “entry-title”.
    Warning: Missing required field “updated”.
    Warning: Missing required hCard “author”.

    and Brian wrote back saying:

If you are seeing those results on your “pages”, then it is something you can disregard. The meta tags they are referencing don’t exist in pages, while they do with posts.

So that was the reason for me posting the question here on how to get authorship to show up with pages - not posts.

Looks like it's working for you based upon Google's Rich Snippet Tool - the first page has the same hatom feed issue I'm seeing on mine.

@eleavor ... Brian Gardner referenced this issue in the comments section - http://www.briangardner.com/google-profile-search-results/#comment-12081. You actually have a comment on there under that.

It's been 5 days since I made the updates to get the Google+ profile pic to show, and though it is working in the rich snippet tool, it still hasn't showed up in any Google search results.  I know I need to wait a little bit for Google to reindex my pages and the Google+ profile, but shouldn't some of the pages be reindexed by now?  How long does it normally take to get the image to show up in the search results?  Do I have this set up right or did I do something wrong that I need to change in order to get this to show up?

He mentioned that it took time, but he also referenced this in his blog as being a more simple way of doing it - http://yoast.com/push-rel-author-head/.

Yep, I use the Yoast plugin too. My personal experience has been from a few days to about a week before the image shows in the serps. One interesting thing I know of is that sometimes if the image in your G+ profile is of poor resolution, it might validate in the rich snippet tool but never show in the SERPS. I saw this happen on site that didn't sow the image for a month until the image was upgraded to higher res.
