    Hello,

    Does anyone know how to insert a google plus badge to their site sidebar?

    I am attempting the instructions here at this URL: https://developers.google.com/+/web/badge/?authuser=0#documentation

    And after I configure my badge and adjust the settings, it tells me this;

    <!-- Place this tag in your head or just before your close body tag. -->
    <script src="https://apis.google.com/js/platform.js" async defer></script>

    <!-- Place this tag where you want the widget to render. -->
    <div class="g-page" data-href="//plus.google.com/u/0/106484208149460766958" data-rel="publisher"></div>

    So I put the first tag in my header.php and the second in a 'text' widget to appear on my site, but then my site errors out and I have to upload a backup to get it back online.

    I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong or how to do this, but any suggestions would be helpful, thanks! 🙂

    P.S. I am using wordpress and the genesis child sample theme

    Hi Bre,

    please don't change the Genesis files. You will lose any customization with the next update.

    You can add the script in Genesis - Theme Settings - Header and Footer Scripts
