    Hi there,

I just launched my website MooseNotes.com last night and have a list of questions I need to address. For Google Fonts, I have three:

    1) The main body font is Lora, a beautiful serif. Everything else is Ubuntu. Sometimes when I refresh a page, Google Fonts pulls in Lora correctly, but the titles, nav links and section headers that are set to Ubuntu, load as Lora.

I'm not sure why this happens. We have lots of internet hangups since we're rural. Could it be that only one font is loading because of an internet delay? Or is this something all visitors are bound to experience? If so, why?

    2) Google Fonts load via the stylesheet. I've read it's best to place them in the functions file, but I'm seeing different comments on problems doing this correctly. If loading them via functions.php is best, how do I do this correctly?

    3) In my first blog post, I use italics a couple of times. It's not using the italics versions of Lora and instead seems to be defaulting to a generic serif. I added the italics option to my stylesheet, so I don't understand why it's not working.

Thank you for any help you can give me!

    Carla :o)

    An update . . .

It just happened again, and my internet is loading just fine. All titles, the entry date, nav links, widget titles, etc. are using Ubuntu, but when I refreshed the page, it didn't load that font and instead reverted to a generic serif.

I have no clue how to figure out why this is happening.

I haven't been able to find any solution to the Ubuntu font not loading. It doesn't always happen, but if you refresh enough, it will.

In case anyone sees this, I removed Google Fonts from my stylesheet and enqueued them in my functions file. My site is really lightweight, but I noticed a difference in the loading time of the fonts. It was a nice surprise. I didn't think I'd notice a difference.

About Lora and italics, I'm not sure it's not working. If I click the italics button when creating a blog post, shouldn't that text display as italics according to the body font? If the font for body is set to Lora, and I've added both Lora400 and Loraitalic, wouldn't it know to use Loraitalic? Or is there something else I need to do?

    Thanks!!
