    After help from Andrea I managed to get Genesis Slider working.

    Using Associate theme how do I (in layman terms if possible) get the slider to run on the Home page - so that I can add
    the Home page text below the slider?

    You would need to add a sidebar to place the widget into.

    I am aware of that John.

    I first had the slider widget in the Featured sidebar and that didnt work. Ive tried the Home  middle 2 and that doesnt do it.

    I need the slider to be just below the menu with the Home page text below it.
