    Hello and thank you in advance for any help.

    I am having issues with the "genesis slider" displaying in my footer.

    I just want it to display some posts I made of testimonials.

    I would also like to change the background color but am more concerned with just being able to display them.

    Sort of I can get it to display images but not my text. since I just want to display testimonials it hasn't been resolved. I have just started to look for another option. Do you know how I can display just the text of a post?

    Ok, so you're looking for something that might rotate featured posts, or something similar? I haven't used this, but this might work:

    Does the genesis slider only work with images?

    The Genesis slider is designed to showcase the featured image in a post or page. Technically, you could add an image which just contains text and work around it that way, but the plugin is for images.
