I currently have a slider on my home page, but the images link to a page with the image, and not the post. I use a Pinterest sized image for every post, as well as my featured image. Is there a way to link my slider image to the post if it is not contained in the post? I hope that makes sense!

If I understood you correctly, the homepage slider is getting the images from the featured image of a page?

I am using the Genesis Responsive Slider. I guess I can put the slider image in the featured image area of the post, without that affecting the image that actually shows in the post. Is that correct? I was thinking that the featured image had to match what was in the post.
