    I'm working on the navigation of a new site, based off of the Genesis Sample theme (always my starting point), and noticed something odd, at least to me.

    .genesis-nav-menu a:focus,
    .genesis-nav-menu a:hover,
    .genesis-nav-menu .current-menu-item > a,
    .genesis-nav-menu .sub-menu .current-menu-item > a:focus,
    .genesis-nav-menu .sub-menu .current-menu-item > a:hover {
    	color: #0073e5;
    	text-decoration: none;
    }

    When you hover over navigation items (desktop or mobile), nothing happens, and every link is that #0073e5 blue, hover or not. This appears to be because of the:

    .genesis-nav-menu .current-menu-item > a,

    as when I remove it, the links revert to the #333 as set elsewhere. Two things:

    Doesn't this mean that the code is acting as if all items are "current-menu-item"?
    If not, why would you automatically want all links acting as if they were active / hovered over?

    Just trying to understand this decision a bit, seems intentional in the code, but logically a bug to what I would personally expect.

    Small update, I downloaded a few versions of the Sample Theme, back to 2.10, and the behavior is the same, so it's definitely intended.

    As I was typing this, I discovered it simply refers to the active page. Where this tripped me up, is that I made "custom" links on the navigation, simply direction to "/", which you guessed it, is the home page. Since every single link I had was to the home page, and I was only testing the home page, they were always, 100% of the time, active.
