My home slider is great - BUT - can anyone tell me how to make the slide text excerpts visible on small mobile devices like phones?

My text displays fine on desktop, laptop and ipad but at phone size the text disappears and only the blank background displays. Looks bad, especially on a site prepared by a designer - me!

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
