I am wanting to change the background of the excerpt area as well as the arrows. I located the correct portions to change in the CSS file, but the CSS file is listed as inactive when I try to make those code changes (color changes) directly within the plug-in editor area. I can make the changes and save it, but nothing happens. I even tried it after changing file permissions to 6-6-6 instead of the default 6-4-4.

    Thoughts?

Found it... The style.css file is inactive for that plug-in because it is controlled by the child theme's style.css file. I was just looking in the wrong spot. I knew something was off!
