MemberHello,
I need to arrange some post excerpts in a grid format on five different pages (a travel website, each page dedicated to trips within particular countries). Each trip will be in a category according to the country.
Eg: 1. A hiking trip, created as a post, and categorized within "Nepal".
2. A mountain biking trip, also created as a post, and categorized within "Nepal"
etc . . .There may be up to a dozen trips (posts) within each category (country).
I need all of the trips presented as "teasers" with a featured image. All of the teasers arranged in a grid format on that country's specific page.
I think that I need to use the Genesis Grid plugin. I have installed it, but don't have a clue what to do next.
Do I need to make a custom page for each country? If so, how do I use the plugin to get the posts to display on each page in a grid?
Before this I was trying to use the Extender plugin to create custom pages with custom widget areas into which I planned to place featured posts, but this seems to hard and not efficient as there are so many trips.
The Grid plugin seems more native to the way information is arranged in WordPress, so I thought this would be a better tactic.
This is the site, but there isn't much to see except an experiment on the Nepal page with a custom widget area.

Thanks for any suggestions!

ModeratorTim:
To set up the Genesis Grid, go to Dashboard > Genesis > Grid Loop > configure it to display however many excerpts you would like, and in how many columns.
Within the settings, you can choose on what type of page you would like to display the grid.
The Pretty Darn Cute Design Modern Blogger Pro theme uses this plugin - you can see it in the demo here: (link)

MemberHi Susan,
Thanks so much, but I'm stuck with choosing the pages. If I make a custom page, I don't see it in the options available to choose from.Your example on Modern Blogger Pro looks fantastic - I'd love to be able to achieve that effect on my custom pages, it's just what I want.
Thanks again,
Tim

MemberHi again Susan,
I've tried another strategy using Bill Erickson's portfolio tutorial here:
This is the closest that I can get so far:

Although I am closer, there are two things wrong. I can't get the columns to go full width and be even, and I'm not sure if I can have more than one portfolio (I will need around 5).
Anyway, I'll keep trying, thanks for your help.
