    Hi!

I'm trying to make the blog page a featured page on my home/front page, but it doesn't appear as an option in the widget's drop-down menu. It does appear on the Menu Settings dashboard.

Has anyone heard of this, or know of a fix?

    Thanks

    Thanks Brad,

I tried changing themes, which didn't correct the issue.

So if it works on your site, with your theme, that suggests something's not quite right with my version of Genesis. Or one or both of my blog-page.php files.

Do you have any other thoughts?

    Regards
    Alex

Got a reply from a query elsewhere, so this is the solution.

ensure the blog page uses the blog template

customise the home page settings to leave the blog page as --Select--

If you reselect the blog page, it puts a feed on the page, so you need to leave it unselected.

This will probably mess up your blog page settings so you may need to reformat it.

Assumes your blog page uses the blog page template selected from the Page Attributes box on any Edit Page screen.
