MemberHas anyone else experienced this issue with this plug in? If so, how did you resolve it?
Am using Mailchimp with this plugin
Only it's making me go through a double-optin
And the 2nd optin is crummy looking
I contact Mailchimp support and below is their suggestion:
"It seems that the Form Action url is set up correctly in that it is pointing to a MailChimp list. What seems to be throwing off the form is that the input box is not registering the information as an email. If you would like to use an alternative From Builder to have access to single opt-in, I would suggest Wufoo forms as it can integrate with MailChimp and will allow you to subscribe individuals without sending out the confirmation emails of the double opt-in process. If you would prefer not to use Double Opt-In then I would suggest that you try out our Wufoo form integration as Double Opt-In is mandatory for forms created in MailChimp. https://connect.mailchimp.com/integrations/wufoo"
Has anyone else experienced this issue with this plug in? If so, how did you resolve it?
Thanks, Renee

MemberHi,
am I understanding correctly that you don't like the Mailchimp "thank you" page people are being redirected to telling them they have to confirm their subscription?
You can setup your own pages:

MemberHi Christopher ....
My sign up form is sending me to a 2nd optin.
This shouldn't be happened.
That second optin says it's an error page .... but if you type in
your email address, it actually takes you to the "thank you" page.I need to eliminate the 2nd optin to get to a thank you page.
Is there a way for me to fix this?
My form action code:
//renegadefinancialplanner.us8.list-manage.com/subscribe/post?u=3f71e8a2580b8bfa84e7f1bec&id=5995a4b36fand I've used:
http://renegadefinancialplanner.us8.list-manage.com/subscribe/post?u=3f71e8a2580b8bfa84e7f1bec&id=5995a4b36fneither works
Any suggestions ... been a terrible waste of time
Thank you for responding...

MemberHi Renee,
I just tried your form action on a test site and it worked fine.
On your website I now get the error message you are describing.
Can you post a screenshot of your eNews widget settings?
I see that you have the wysija newsletter and wp-supercache plugin active.
Can you try disabling them and see if it makes a difference?

MemberHi Christopher ..
I disabled WP-Super Cache and Mailpoet which I believe is the wysija newsletter)
While at it, I closed a few other plugins I haven't been using
The plug in itself looks like this:
Title: WATCH THIS FREE VIDEO
Text to show before form: Learn how to UNLOCK .....
Text to show after Form: Let us know what you think
MailPoet List: nothing checked
Google/Feedburner ID: nothing added
Form Action: //renegadefinancialplanner.us.8.list-manage.com/subscribe/ (etc)
E-Mail Field: EMAIL
Email Input: ENTER YOUR EMAIL
Button Text: Click For Access
Visibility: nothing added
My css is as follows:
/* Genesis eNews Extended
--------------------------------------------- */.enews-widget,
.enews-widget .widget-title {
color: #fff;
font-size: 18px;
}.sidebar .widget.enews-widget {
background-color: #330019;
padding: 20px;
}.enews p {
margin-bottom: 20px;
}.enews form + p {
margin-top: 20px;
}.enews-widget input {
color: #999;
margin-bottom: 16px;
}.enews-widget input[type="email"] {
font-size: 16px;
}.enews-widget input[type="submit"] {
background-color: #f5f5f5;
color: #000;
margin-bottom: 0;
padding: 20px 24px;
width: 100%;
}.enews-widget input[type="submit"]:hover {
background-color: #00CC00;
color: #fff;
}

it is working for me now.
http://screencast.com/t/nRJBBiCmeOne of the plugins you deactivated might have caused the issue...
