I'm really not qualified to render help, as I am just learning, and on this forum looking for answers myself
    but.....
Go back to My Studiopress and look for theme setup tutorial.
Or Google for Genesis Sample theme setup.
    or try '2create a website' she's great.

The easy way to insert a header is dashboard>customize>header.
You have to play with it.

Or you can open your webpage, hover over the header area on the page and right click. Chrome will let you 'inspect element'
other browsers like Firefox has firebug feature, and IE has a tool too.

move your pointer over the code bottom left of screen until the area on the page highlights the area you want to change.
This will tell you where in the stylesheet.css file you need to go.

You open the stylesheet from appearance>edit
you can also search this forum using Genesis Sample Theme for your search, and find lots of posts addressing similar questions
I hope this helps and I will monitor this thread and hope to learn more from other more qualified and knowledgeable participants!

You should get a web inspector like Firebug, then you will be able to look at your code in the browser. You can also add your SEO page titles and meta description in the Genesis SEO box which is below the text editor on every page/post.
