I know I have posted something similar in the past but I am still unable to do this. Please see the attached image; I am trying to add a slider before the content area that will push both posts and sidebars down but will use the slider as a full width;

I have added to my page_blog.php: add_action('genesis_loop', 'genesis_standard_loop', 5); right before genesis(); but every time I add content to the text area, it only pushed down the content area not the side bar. On my print screen you will notice I highlighted in black where I want my edits to be and ONLY on the blog page.

You simply hook it in using the correct conditional tag and hook.

What have you tried so far?

I tried to add my code to some of my hooks using simple hooks plugins by genesis. I added it to genesis_before_content_sidebar_wrap and perhaps all the hooks in there to see where it displays but I get nothing or it display in odd and weird spots. I only want it on the blog page full width as in my deisgn. Also, it keeps pushing the content area but not the side bar.
