http://www.studiopress.community/topic/set-order-to-portfolio-of-minimum-theme/ my previous post was closed. I was told how to edit image order by editing date. That worked fine but today I added a new image. First time since that post. It dropped the third image down to a line itself and it looks wierdPlease see line 2. What's the deal www.abbymalonephoto.com/portfolio

February 11, 2013 at 12:42 pm #19653abbypandaMemberCan someone from studiopress please give me the answer or tell me you don't have one???
February 11, 2013 at 1:14 pm #19659Tony @ AlphaBlossomMemberBecause your images are not the same height, they are not lining up properly. Most images are 230px, but the third one is 220px. If you make sure all pics are the same height, it will fix your issue.

February 11, 2013 at 10:21 pm #19760abbypandaMemberI see now where the image of the littel cabin on the cliff at the far right of line 1 is a bit shorter than the pic next to it. But I am referring to this:
When I added an image, it bumped the monarchs from spot 3 in line 1 to it's own line, but It didnt put any other pics in line 2. I need to know how to fix that. That should not have anything to do with the image height?
February 11, 2013 at 10:36 pm #19761Bill MurrayMember1) Since you ended your comment with a question, give Tony's advice a shot.
2) If you're still not convinced and want another solution, to your block of styling around line 698 of your child theme's stylesheet, specify a height, as in height: 300px;

February 11, 2013 at 10:56 pm #19764Tony @ AlphaBlossomMemberDid you try my suggestion? The Monarch image is not on it's own line, it just looks like that because the different heights are not allowing the images to flow properly.
If you resize that image (or use css to control the height as Bill Murry suggested, but since it's responsive that will cause other issues if you're concerned about that), you'll see that the Monarch is the first image of three on the second line.
The easy way to test it would be to follow Bill's advice above, setting your images to a consistent height and you'll see they all line up evenly.
If that's not how they should be laid out, I don't understand what you're having issues with...

February 12, 2013 at 12:26 pm #19852abbypandaMemberWhich Image do I need to resize? The monarch is 740x492 and the image above it with the little cabin and sunset is the same size.
I dont understand what you mean when you say it's not on a line by itself. What I'm seeing is line 2 has blank, blank, then image.
Lines one and 3 and the rest have image, image, image
In addition, it was not a problem at all until I added the most recent pic,the black and white pic. Adding the extra pic (first on the left top row), moved the monarchs from spot 3 first row to second row. However all the other images on row 2 moved to row 3. 2 of the images on row 2 should have stayed on row 2.
February 12, 2013 at 1:55 pm #19881Bill MurrayMemberThe image for Fire & Ice is smaller than the image to its left or below it.
Let me approach this from a different angle: have you ever changed your portfolio thumbnail size? For example, did you upload the Fire & Ice image, then change your portfolio image size, then upload more images? If so, you need to use a plugin like Ajax Rebuild Thumbnails to resize your images any time you change the image sizes your theme supports.

February 12, 2013 at 10:32 pm #20014abbypandaMemberI did change thumb size at one point. Not sure when. I was having a lot of problems b/c still on my blog pages, when I upload a featured image, even if I set it to small it shows huge.
I will run the plugin again.
March 11, 2013 at 12:33 am #25423digitgirl2MemberI experienced the same thing abbypanda talked about.. Row 2 of images should of had image, image, image. Instead I had blank, blank, Image. The next row had image, image, image followed by row 4 having blank, blank, image. I deleted all portfolio images and added them again, yet still I had blank areas on rows. Yes, I downloaded the Ajax Rebuild thumbnail and it solved the issue but why must we do this. Maybe the Portfolio step-by-step tutorial should mention images should all be a certain size. Maybe I missed this somewhere. I wasted a lot of time trying to figure out the issue. Anyways, I'm glad I found the issue and fixed my page. Thanks.
