    Hi,

I would like to put a fullwidth image underneath my nav bar only on my homepage. And I would like to be able tout some text (thanks to a widget?) and a button on it.

I have succeeded in making that happens with the dynamik builder using EZ feature top for those who know that builder.
The problem is I struggle with my picture as my head is cut.

If I use a slider and a premium theme (not a studiopress one) I have quite a good result but I don't want to use that theme anymore as i prefer genesis.
Here you can see the difference between what I can have with the premium theme

and what I want in genesis

except that I'd prefer to have more flexibility to make my image appear correctly...
    How can I do?
Should I use a plugin with a slider instead of the EZ feature? Is there one that can do that on genesis?
I don't want necessarily to use the dynamik builder. I'm happy to learn how to do things on genesis on his own using the sample theme.

    Kind regards

    Hi Brad,

Yes i forgot about the button... Ideally if I could have my image like on the slider in the premium theme (photo 1) I'd write some text on the left with a text widget (where there is some space) and place a button below that text...But I don't know how to obtain that button..On my premium theme slider there was an option to display a button..but as I want to learn to do things...

    Thanks!

    Ps: love your site!

    Hi Brad,

Thanks for that, just to be sure, the first method assume that I already have the fullwidth image and just creates the widget areas to put my text and button, right?
As I wasn't sure I tried your link with allowed me to add an image.
Where I struggle is about the image size. I have put a 1200 x585 image size so on my 15" screen there is some space on the right. I could increase the image size and it will fit my screen but it will have that gap again on a bigger screen...How can I add an image that adapt to those bigger screens but without it to take all my 15" in length ? The purpose was to allow people to see an optin below the photo on a 15" screen for example.

    Kind regards

    Chrys
