    I'm trying to add a full-width responsive slider to the Home Section 1 widget of Parallax Pro to replace the full image normally placed there.

    Has anyone figured out how to do this?

    Thank you for your help!

    You should be able to by editing front-page.php

    try changing this:

    genesis_widget_area( 'home-section-1', array(
    		'before' => '<div class="home-odd home-section-1 widget-area"><div class="full-height"><div class="wrap">',
    		'after'  => '</div></div></div>',
    	) );

    to this

    genesis_widget_area( 'home-section-1', array(
    		'before' => '<div class="home-odd home-section-1 widget-area">',
    		'after'  => '</div>',
    	) );

    It will get rid of the wrap and allow it to be full width. I did something similar for Altitude Pro.

    What type of slider do you want to use? If it's shortcode based you can add widget based support with this in your functions.php:

    // Enable shortcodes in widgets
    add_filter('widget_text', 'do_shortcode');

    afterward just use a text widget, enter the slider's short code and that's it. It may take a bit of CSS work though.

    Keep in mind I'm new to all this so I don't know if this is a proper way to do it. I'd love some feedback from experts on this as well.

    I'm using the Meta Slider. I've put it's shortcode into the text widget and it's functional, but I'm not sure about the css to bring it full width.

    I would love to see if this worked... I want to have a Revolution Slider in Home Section 1... If we do this change, would the slider itself determine that section's height?

    One thing that does work is using an animated gif in this spot. However, it's a pain to edit and the file size is large. Does anyone have a suggestion about the css code to bring the meta slider full width without affecting the responsive?

    Thanks -
