    Can anyone explain how I use FTP to access the functions.php file in my child theme to remove code? Thank you

    When you created your hosting account, you should have been given an FTP user name and password.

    You'll need an FTP tool (Filezilla is free). Download it, open it, and log into your site using the user name and password.

    From there, it's like moving a file from one directory to another on a computer, only it's going from your computer to your hosting site.
