    So... I've used the Genesis grid loop to make the fist post on the homepage featured (using a different featured image). This is the easiest way that I could think of using a different featured image for the latest post (I just don;t style the posts into a grid). The only issue, is that the grid loop uses content limit, rather than post excerpts. I've tried to force excerpts, but I am getting 2 "read more..." links.

    I'm stuck. Any ideas on either:

    How to have the latest post use a different featured image?
    or
    Have Genesis Grid Loop use post excerpts?

    Any help is appreciated. Thank you!!! 🙂

    I have a similar problem. I want some posts to have a different featured image size on the homepage than others? Have you found a solution? Thanks!

    I'm also looking to use Post Excerpts on the home page Genesis Grid Loop instead of content. I'm using the Minimum Pro Theme by StudioPress. Ideally, it would first pull the excerpt, if there is one, and then default to the post content (with a max character count) if there wasn't.

    I have all of my Genesis settings to 'Display Excerpts.' My blog page and category pages work fine, but not the home page grid loop.

    Did anyone get an answer for this yet? Cheers.
