I'm adding 6 widget areas using the Genesis column classes, in my footer section. I still want to have footer credits but how can I force them to go 'below' these new widget areas?

Or should I delete the default footer credits and then add them back in by making another new widget area?

I just have a testing site up now; and it has a live blank maintenance mode activated.

Are you adding the 6 widgets area using genesis_before_footer hook ?

No I'm actually putting them in the footer itself; so I used genesis_footer. I made these with Genesis Extender just fyi

Try with genesis_before_footer and you will get the copyright text at bottom of your page.

I did that at first but that's not where I want the widgets .... is there something wrong with putting the widget areas in the footer? I'm just going to be using it for links...isn't this OK?

    Hi asbilly,

Did you ever resolve this ? I'm looking for the same thing, to move the credits just before the end of the footer.

Yes, I did, I was actually trying to put 6 widget column areas inside the footer; yet still wanted to retain the footer credits below that.

I made my 6 footer widgets with Genesis Extender (can't live without that one lol) and then hooked them into the genesis_footer.

I then made a class and assigned it to the paragraph tag surrounding the copy-wright that contained a clear:both which forced it below the widgets. You can see it here and use Developer Tools to look at the copy-wright line: http://www.djccoreconsulting.com
