Is it possible to create something like this in the parallax pro theme:

    example

I want 3 featured posts in this widget area. Does anyone know how I can do this? It's a widget area.

    Thanks in advance!

You can add 3 widgets inline.

You can grab the code from a child theme which already includes 3 widgets inline

    Thanks Brad,

Can you give a example of such a child theme? And how do I get these widgets inline (columns)?

Sorry if these are completely beginner questions but I just can't make it work right now.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello people,

I contacted the official support staff of Studiopress and basically they sent me back to the forums since it was a customization question.

    Studiopress' reply:

Thank you for your question. Yes, it is possible to create something like your screenshot. You can add your featured post widgets to one of the home widget areas and then add some custom CSS code to your style.css file to make them look like your screenshot.

Unfortunately, I don't have copy/paste code to give you for this as it requires custom code to be written and tested just for your site. Also, we generally do not give step by step instructions for theme customizations: http://www.studiopress.com/what-support-includes.

I highly recommend using Firebug to find the CSS that controls different elements on your site. We have a tutorial for using Firebug here: http://www.studiopress.com/tips/using-firebug.htm.

While we cannot provide assistance with theme customizations in the help desk, we recommend that you post these questions on our Community Forums. You can post a thread here: http://www.studiopress.community/.

It is possible that another user has done this, and would be willing to share their code.

Can anyone help me with this one?

You can either (1) create 3 widgets inline or (2) add 3 featured post widgets to 1 widget area and add CSS to display the 3 widgets inline.

I have written multiple posts on how to use both methods however different themes may require code modifications.

As previously mentioned, you can grab the code from a child theme which already includes 3 widgets inline like Executive Pro.

None of these tutorials are written specifically for Parallax Pro.

After your reply I tried to solve it by coding it manually. In this process I found a plugin called "Genesis - Featured Grid" which does exactly what I wanted.
