I'm using the general Featured Post Widget on the sidebar. There are 3 widgets in the sidebar and I've selected different posts to be displayed, but it will only show the main post, or the post that you are viewing in the sidebar. It is all funky. Anyone know why it would be doing this and how to fix it? Thanks.

    That is bizarre.

I'd be curious to see how you filled out the form on the widgets page in the admin:

Are there at least three posts in that category?

What order did you choose to have it show your posts? Did you choose to offset any?

I ask because very often, when I think something isn't working as advertised, I find out it was something I missed - generally, something pretty simple.

If it's the widget, it might be that another plugin is interfering with it.

If you disable all your plugins, does the Featured Posts widget work?

If so, your next step is figuring out which one is the problem. The fastest way to do that is something I call The Dance:

Activate half of your plugins - say, the ones that start with the letters A-M.

Still have the problem? One of those plugins is to blame. Disable the ones that start with G-M.

STILL have the problem? Disable half again - D-F, maybe.

Repeat until you're down to one and still only showing the same post three times.

Now, what if the problem disappeared at any point?

Then you know the problem is NOT in that group of plugins.

Activate your plugins that start with N - Z.

    Repeat the process.

    Hope that helps!

Mary, Thanks for the response. It is very odd. I was trying the deactivating of plugin route when I noticed the plugin was in need of an update. Sure enough, after updating the issue was completely resolved!
