In the last couple of weeks, an update caused this strange problem.

My sidebar widgets which was showing square thumbnail featured images are now showing either portrait or landscape pictures.

The featured image in the blog homepage is doing the same thing.

Not sure what is interfering with this being displayed properly. Anyone have any ideas?

BTW, I have used the regnerate thumbnail plugin but it makes no difference.

    Thanks.

    Hi,
Have you tried disabling your plugins to see if the problem goes away? If it does, add them back one by one until the problem occurs, and that should be a clue as to what is causing the problem.

Another suggestion, use the browser inspect element to see what html is being output for the thumbnails and that might give a clue.

    HI Jackie,

Yes, I have tried disabling plugins, etc. I found that my design settings seem to revert back to default everytime there is a WP upgrade.

Not sure why this is happening.

Where are you entering in your design settings? In your child theme Prose?
