MemberI am using the News theme but would like to feature some pages instead of posts in one of my homepage areas. Any suggestions on a plugin that works like the Genesis Tabs plugin that displays tabs above the group of featured posts - but for pages instead.
Thanks!

MemberHey Ted!
If your using a studiopress theme they have this feature for both posts and pages.
They're side by side in the widgets area!

MemberHi Ryan,
The plugin you are pointing me to only displays one page and no tabs. I am looking for something that works like the Genesis Tabs plugin - but for pages... Are you familiar with the Genesis Tabs plugin or anything similar?
Thanks for the reply!

MemberSorry Ted, my mistake. I didn't know about the tabs plugin!
Although I do now. I just installed it on one of my test sites and can see better what you want.
Unfortunately I don't know of any plugins that do the same thing but for pages. I've only ever seen this done with posts!

MemberHi Ryan,
No problem,
I have found a couple plugins that create tabs and allow you to place a text widget inside for each tab. I am currently trying Tabbed Sidebar Widgets. Are you familiar with any plugins that simply do this that you would recommend?
Thanks for all your replies and attention!

MemberAfraid not.
I did try the Section Widget (http://wordpress.org/plugins/section-widget/screenshots/). But couldn't get it working and looking in their support section it looks like others were having problems with it too.
Is there a reason you cant just do this with posts?

MemberThe main reason I haven't done this with posts is that my site is already built and everything is in pages. I suppose I could switch things, but it would be much easier to find a simple widget/plugin to accomplish this with pages...

MemberSomething like this might work (http://wordpress.org/plugins/pages-are-posts/)
As the plugin says,
Makes pages behave more like posts: they have tags and categories and they are included in post listings, including RSS/Atom feeds.
But this is relying on the Genesis Tabs plugin recognizing the pages as posts, which it might not.
The main reason I haven’t done this with posts is that my site is already built and everything is in pages
How many pages have you got?
If it were me, and there aren't too many pages, I would probably try switching them to posts.
