featured image not showing woocommerce

Hi. We're using a child theme of Genesis. I've set a Header Image in Custom Genesis Header for all pages, including Shop (/shop).

This shows on all pages except for WooCommerce pages.

How do we show custom header images on WooCommerce pages?

Are you referring to the featured image or the header image?

I would ask the plugin Developer if it supports WooCommerce otherwise find a plugin which does or use custom code.

We're talking about a Genesis child theme here, which does support WooCommerce, not a plugin.

Child Theme's woocommerce.php:

 * Template used for all WooCommerce views for your site

remove_action( 'genesis_loop', 'genesis_do_loop');
 
//* Add WooCommerce content output

Child Theme's functions.php:

function woocommerce_setup_genesis() {
  woocommerce_content();
}
add_theme_support( 'woocommerce' );

I was hoping to learn the custom code to allow header images to work with WooCommerce.

That code removes the loop so it also removes the image. You'll need to add back the code for the featured image.

There's already several tutorials containing the code for this.

I can only find http://my.studiopress.com/tutorials/setup-custom-header/ on Google, which doesn't talk about moving or re-adding the header image.

If I search http://my.studiopress.com for "move header image" I find nothing relevant.

Did you ever find a solution to your issue? I looking for a solution to a similar problem.

Im using the Showcase Pro theme and its supports using the featured image on all the pages including everything in woocommerce EXECPT the main shop page. I have looked all over and cant find any information on how to add the featured image to this page.

Here is the site I am working on.

@SRD what theme are you using? Please link to the WooCommerce page which doesn't display the header image?

@nickress Based on my testing, the featured image displays on WooCommerce Shop page.
