    I have added a new image size
    add_image_size( 'post-570', '570', '225', false );

    Great!
    I have changed the Genesis setting so that Content Archives is set to the new size and Featured Image is 'selected'

    If you go to http://www.ritewhileucan.com/blog/ you can see that the images are all odd shapes and none are 570 wide.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks for any help!!

    Adding a new size only applies to new images which are uploaded.

    Best results are achieved by cropping your images to the exact size you want before uploading.

    You can also regenerate thumbnail images using a plugin however this doesn't always produce the best results.

    I actually did run the regeneration of thumbnails.
    It worked fine and the images were created.

    hmmm.
