    Hi guys,

I'm looking to try to add a feature box in the homepage/single post pages on my site without breaking or distorting the responsiveness.

    Conceptualization site: socialtriggers.com

    My site: theheadlock.com

Just need to know what code goes there. Thanks!

Does the code go on the functions.php template?

The PHP code goes in your functions file and the CSS in your style sheet.

    Thanks for responding!

I added the code to the child theme (Genesis Sample) functions file and the CSS code in the style sheet of the child CSS files as well but nothing is displaying on the homepage.

Not sure if I am doing something wrong or what because the widget never populated at all, here is my site: theheadlock.com

You will need to add content to the widget.

I created the content in the wp editor and pasted the HTML into a text widget.

I also used the Genesis eNews Extended plugin.

Clearly, there is some work required on your behalf to create the content and install the code.

Sorry if the tutorial doesn't cover all bases however it does include most of what you need.

That's strange because I do not see the widget. I do have the genesis eNews plugin but the widget area for the feature box does not show.

Is it uniquely named? Thanks Brad

I tried all the above instructions but, after adding the genesis enews plugin, I couldn't find where to add it on the widget page sp the final result would be full-page-width above the content area and right sidebar. What am I missing?

My website is at http://kingdominfluence.com if that helps troubleshoot what I did wrong. 🙁 I am using the lifestyle child theme.
