    Hey everyone,

A lot of people are using dark mode now on browsers. What is the solution to making my site Favicon display lighter for people using dark mode on their browsers? Any help is appreciated.

I am using the Monochrome Pro Theme

Are you using a PNG with transparency?

Provided the Favicon isn't the same colour as the active or inactive tab it should display OK regardless of the Light/Dark browser mode and the WordPress theme being used.

Yes, I am, the issue is that it is a black box with a white icon inside, so on dark mode we lose the black portion.

    Have you got a link?

You could add a line around it...

I have Dark Mode on in Edge and the black box is distinguishable...

But I wouldn't get too hung up on this... people tend not to notice the favicon.

Tech types tend to notice though - a more polished site will have one... and it's a giveaway if you see the default W.
