    Is there a way to extend the sidebar to the footer? I have a gray background and white content/sidebar - so its very noticeable when the sidebar stops. Is there a way to extend the white background of the sidebar to the footer?

    I'm in Genesis Sample Theme - and my site is http://handsonaswegrow.com

    Okay, I figured this one out on my own.

    For the sidebar color to extend to your footer (whether or not you have content in your sidebar)

    Add this to your css:

    .sidebar {
overflow: hidden
padding-bottom: 99999px /*something high enough to go past your longest post and comments* /
margin-bottom: -99999px /*same number just negative*/

}
