    I am trying to change the background color of the content section of a single page. What can I add to the style sheet to identify it?

    body.post-id-235 {
    	background-color: :#fff;
    }

    Something like that.

    I have narrowed it down to .site-inner as the part that controls the color. But how can I identify it for post id 235 only?

    It'd be easier (for me) if you shared your site, I'm better with visuals than recall. From your description though, using .post-id-235 .site-inner should work.
