    Hello all. I am building a site using the executive pro child theme (which I renamed). I downloaded the genesis responsive slider to achieve a similar look as the home demo of the executive pro child theme. After following the general steps included in the tutorials out there on how to set this up, I could not get the slider width to line up with the nav menu. When I inspect the elements in firefox, it appears that the slider width is set to 1020px. There are so many different elements that are set to this width, Im not sure what code with achieve the desired results.

    Im confused though, because everything I read indicates that making the responsive slider settings 1140px width is all that needs to be done, but apparently, this is not the case.

    I am using the pictures from the executive pro demo theme to trouble shoot this issue so that there is no variation.

    I tried to attached two screenshots from firefox that might shed some insight, but I don't see the option to attach an image, only to provide the url on one..not sure why it would be that way. Thank you in advance for any help you may be able to provide.

    Hi Rizk30:

    I'm assuming that you are using the Genesis Responsive Slider for your setup. Set the slider settings as per the theme setup instructions:
    Display Settings > Maximum Slider Width (in pixels): 1140px;
    Maximum Slider Height (in pixels): 445px

    This fills the slider area with a full image from the page/post (e.g. the images from the demo). The text/excerpt portion of the slider overlays the par t of the full slider image, and is set as "Slider Excerpt Width (in percentage)". The theme setup instructions suggest 30%. This leaves 70% / ~800px of the image uncovered.

    I'm sure your images would help explain your situation - a link to your site would be even better 🙂 You can post a plain link to your image(s) here. The forum post "IMG" button will also accept your image URL and embed it in the post.
