    I have 2 questions with regard to the home page design:

    1) [and this applies to a LOT of the themes] - Without any place for a general homepage welcome text, how does the homepage SEO well for the important keywords?

    2) How would I get a section of full width HTML code & text into the homepage, either right below the slider or above the call to action?

    thanks.

    Re item 2:

    You can add a text widget under - Home-Slider > Genesis-Responsive Slider > plain text widget or, last widget under Home - Top

    Thanks! It didn't occur to me to try a text widget in the Slider area!

    I did try a text widget under home -> top and it was only 1/3 the page wide.

    thanks.

    But when i put a text widget in the Slider area, then the Text has the same witdh as the slider and not the same witdh as the text boxes in Home-Middle or Home -Top Widget Areas. This looks terrible. How can i change this?

    It only looks terrible because there are no margins, which I learned how to fix last night.

    The trick is in CSS; not that hard if you have a basic understanding of CSS, which is all I have.

    If you are interested I can post some snippets later, sort of busy right now.

    Yes, that would be nice if you can post these snippets.

    If you want text in the slider area, full width but with a nice margin...

    Add:

    .home-slider #HomePageText {
    	margin: 40px;
    }

    then wrap the text with:

    <div id="HomePageText">
    </div>

    if you wanted that text to me more like the 1/3 width widgets then add code like:

    	width: 33.3333333333%;
    	float: left;

    and on 3rd widget across change left to right

    But that means you would have to create widgets for the slider in the CSS also.

    IMHO, it would be easier to add another widget under the slider and above Home Top - or, use Home Top if you can.

    Hope that helps.
