I had some malware found on a clients website. So I tried updating their child theme Executive along with updating Genesis. I know that Executive is a discontinued theme. However after updating my site crashed and posted this error.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function executive_the_custom_logo() in /home1/c329581/crescofabrication.com/wp-content/themes/executive/header.php on line 30

I don't know how to repair that. So I went back into Studio Press and downloaded an archive of Executive 2 as well as Genesis. After uploading via FTP and over riding the existing theme, I still have the error. I have asked my hosting company to revert the site back to a previously saved version. However I would like to resolve the malware issue attached to one of the files....

    /crescofabrication.com/wp-includes/images/crystal/bookmarklet.php: SL-PHP-SHELL-md5-djx.

Is there a fix to this issue once the site is back up and running? Or will I need to update the website with a whole new theme? Thanks for your time!

Perhaps you should consider hiring Sucuri to do the malware removal. They are among the best.

I'm happy to do that. But that doesn't solve my current problem with the code error. I had the hosting company restore the site to the old version. However I know if I try to update my child theme, I will get the same busted error. So I need to know if there is a fix for that in this child theme, or if I need to update to a newer child theme with a different design.

I won't visit your site since you said it's infected with malware.

I downloaded all the versions of the Executive themes from the archives. None of them have a file named header.php. The error is not coming from anything delivered from Studio Press. You're going to have to figure out where that file came from. It could be custom code, or it could be something the malware injected into your site, or it could come from a similarly named WordPress theme.
