    Hi All. I am using Essence Pro. The site is https://maryeschellham.wpengine.com/

    As you can see, I put in a picture of a courthouse as the header. The original picture is much lighter. I know the image is darkened so it is possible to read the words over it, but I would still like to have it lighter than it is. Can anyone tell me how to make the image lighter?

    There's nothing in the theme that's making the picture darker. I copied the image URL and opened the image by itself in a new browser window. The stand alone image and the image as displayed on the site are identical.

    If you want the picture to be lighter, you'll have to PhotoShop it.

    Yeah, I forgot to take this post down. I actually just moved the picture. The purple is now what is darker. Thank you very much.
