My problem is that when I have more menu items than in the default Epik theme, the menu items tend drop to second row when viewing on e.g. Ipad devices.

You can see how the last menu item ("theme colors") drops to a second row.Is it possible to keep the menu items on one level somehow. The responsiveness seems to work fine only if you have less menu items.
You could decrease the font size, padding, etc. in the media queries section of your stylesheet to keep the menu items on one row. That said, there does come a point where there are more menu items than room on the screen, so they have to drop down to a second level eventually if you have a lot of items in the menu.
