eNews Extended Formatting

I just added the eNews Extended Widget to my Minimum Pro 2.0 site, and the formatting is hideous.

I'm trying to follow instructions from Brandon Kraft to edit the formatting, but it's for a really, really old version (0.1.6) and doesn't seem applicable anymore: http://www.brandonkraft.com/contrib/plugins/genesis-enews-extended/tutorials/

Here's what I've got in my CSS (which I haven't touched):

I thought that the plugin would look pretty good by default. (I thought that was the point?) If I have to manually tweak the CSS then I'm not sure why I'm using it.

Did I do something wrong?

Hi,
There never a guarantee that stock plugin CSS will work with every theme. Somebody out there will always be able to break it, no matter how carefully written the plugin's CSS is written.

Hideous is a very vague term, and I'm not in your head. But this seems to make the look suck a bit less. Note the padding:

.sidebar .enews-widget {
  background-color: #333333;
  padding: 20px;
}

Thanks, David. That fix helped a lot. I had experimented with trying to add margin to the individual text box elements, and it only made the problem worse. This was much more straightforward.

I'll tinker with the CSS myself from here on out.
