Hi

In the news Pro theme i'm trying to create a post with a video either my upload or youtube and photos from using gettimages embedded viewer.

Is there anyway to set Genesis Tabs to show those on the main page in the Genesis Tabs plugin?

No there is not. You need to upload your own featured image.
