    The CSS code on this theme says that the header is "fixed" by the header bar (title with widget) scrolls down the page when I do placing a black bar across my content. I have tried disabling all my plugins and adding them back in one at a time. Any ideas?

    I need clarification - are you say you "don't" want the it to float - you want it to stay static at the top. If so, change the word "fixed" to "absolute" to see if it resolves it for you. It did for me using Firebug.

    I have the same issue with a site I am building http://www.medicareplansgeorgia.com/

    Anita, are you saying to edit the eleven40 pro stylesheet CSS? Viewing the CSS the only place I see "fixed" is here (search form).

    .search-form input[type="submit"] {
    border: 0;
    clip: rect(0, 0, 0, 0);
    height: 1px;
    margin: -1px;
    padding: 0;
    position: fixed;
    width: 1px;

    somarco... No...it's the header CSS. Looks like this:

    .site-header {
    background: url(images/texture.png);
    min-height: 100px;
    position: absolute;
    width: 100%;
    z-index: 999;
    }

    @somarco, Cheryl is correct. Look for the .site-header. Change the position to absolute. By the way @somarco, I used to be Medicare consultant. Now I do web development.
