I'd like to add a new widget area to the homepage in the eleven40 pro theme and I followed the instructions I found here:
    http://www.briangardner.com/home-widget-area-eleven40/#comments

It added the widget area on the "widgets" page in my dashboard, but when I actually try to use the area, nothing appears. Any idea what I might be doing wrong?

    Thanks!

Thanks Brad, that fixed the problem! For some reason part of the code was getting chopped off on the tutorial page - strange. I appreciate the help!
