Eleven40 Custom Home Page – remove inner DIV

Building a custom home.php page that does not need loop or grid

Seems simple but I can't seem to remove the inner div area  from custom home.php on eleven40 theme

I am using

remove_action( 'genesis_loop', 'genesis_do_loop' );

genesis();

I still get an empty inner div area with empty content and sidebar divs that add whitespace.  I know I can use CSS to remove them or hide them but would prefer to not have them in the page output at all.  Any ideas?

Basically I want the header div and the footer div and exclude the inner div from being generated at all

Interesting question. I didn't readily find a handy filter for that. A brute force method would be to make copies of the core's header.php and footer.php in your child theme and edit the spots relating to "inner". Of course, you know that you don't want to edit the core files themselves. 🙂

So in fact, I'd probably just use CSS.
