    I have a testing subdomain at New Gen Experimenting
    I have no footer widget options. I was able to put a Soliloquy slider into the footer, but the Footer guide and the place where the content shows up are not very close! This slider is supposedly in the footer, but is below the line with the login and other links. I can get rid of that line by selecting Unhook genesis_do_footer() function from this hook?
    . I wanted footer widgets for` Eleven 40 like those in Lifestyle.

    Am I missing something or am I just going to have to live with it.

    I like the way the gallery format is showing up the featured post. This part didn't work in Lifestyle (maybe it will show the gallery in the featured post when all of the upgrades are done.

    This site is using all of the new WP 3.6 and Genesis 2.0 installations.

    Thank you for any help or opinion.

    RESOLVED I forgot the axiom that something must be in the footer 1 widget first to have things display in the other footers.

    Herb, the widget page has the footer spots open, but they won't work for me. I put that slider into the hook which isn't divided into three sections.

    I would rather be able to have the footers and use a widget slider.

    you should be able to hook this above the footer, and still be able to use the widgets in the footer like normal, have you tried that?

    FYI - i was able to change the max-width in the html using chrome and change the max-width from 600px to 1140px and it fills up the width see code below: (large paste)

    here is just the first part:

    <div id=”soliloquy-container-1020″ class=”soliloquy-container soliloquy-slide-horizontal soliloquy-carousel soliloquy-theme-metro soliloquy-thumbnails-active soliloquy-thumbnails-container” style=”max-width: 1140px; max-height: 300px; “>

    I don't know if this pertains to your experience, but I notice that if I leave eleven40 Pro Footer 1 widget area empty and fill Footer 3 with content, the whole footer bar disappears.

    Put text widget in Footer 1 the whole bar comes back.

    Buglet. Anybody here can confirm that?

    Thank you for the reminder, scoe! That applies to all those little footer widgets -- "I knew that.!" said some earlier stand-up comedians. And I forgot. The first time I realized it made a difference was when someone else in another group was pleading for help and we 'fell into' the solution.

    Additionally the same day, I saw the same answer for another theme on this forum.
